How would you like to be able to say no to another request of your time and energy without feeling guilty?

Imagine how great it would be to turn down an event so you can spend time to go on a date with your spouse.

Hear yourself confidently saying, “No, I’m not available” to your extended family.

Feel so relieved because you don’t have to make a dish for the next potluck and you can stay home to binge Netflix.

Or when you can quickly and decisively choose the healthy afternoon snack instead of stopping for a frappuccino.

And especially, feel the power of closing the browser before you add something to your cart.

Confidence in choosing what makes you happy by saying no to something else is an incredible self-care skill.  It comes from a powerful place inside yourself that values saying yes to yourself.

If you’re a woman with a career, family, pets, obligations, juggling all the chores, managing the household, and thinking of everyone but yourself, I see you. I hear you, and I know you.

It’s time for you to put yourself first and let go of worrying about what others think.

Commit to yourself by saying no to the people and the things that deplete you as they say you can’t pour from an empty cup during a transformational coaching journey.

Here are some common obstacles that one of my clients (Kay) recently overcame.

Sometimes behaviors and habits don’t serve you.

Kay realized that her behaviors and her habits were not serving her. She would always be the one to volunteer for her kid’s activities, offered to spend time helping out extra at work, and took over the meal planning and all the shopping for her family.

She knew she was stretching herself thin and running on empty, but she didn’t stop.

Kay realized she was burnt out, depleted, missing lunch, and some days not even getting to the bathroom because she was so focused on caring for everyone else.

Unconscious, limiting beliefs

Kay didn’t realize that she was carrying these unconscious, limiting beliefs.

Yes, they are real.

There was this little voice inside of her and these negative feelings, speaking to her in a judgy tone.

This bossy inner mean girl would say, “Push harder. I’m the mother, so I must take care of them first. Family comes first; work comes first. I’m not good enough. I’m scared to fail.”

“What will they say if I say no? Are they going to judge me, or they’re not going to like me anymore? And if I don’t do it, no one else will.”

Kay realized she was saying no to herself because she didn’t believe she was worth the time and attention.

Empty Energy Tank

Your energy tank is like a gas tank with a complete and empty gauge.

Imagine you start your day off 100% full of energy.  How wonderful would that be? But sometimes, like Kay, women put everyone else first. They do all the things, they push themselves too hard, and they’re running very low in their energy tank. Sometimes Kay would tell me she felt like she was at 10% energy when she woke up in the morning.

And she realized that she was always on high alert because of her habits and behaviors, the way she talked about herself, and the things she believed about herself.  She was also consuming too much caffeine and carbs.

Your mental, physical, and emotional health matter. You have to build up your self-esteem and say no! You have to take time to fill your tank.

Self Awareness Assessment

So often, we live a life like Kay without considering its effect on us.  This assessment will give you a simple way to know if you are ready for transformational coaching:

  1. Do you think you’re habitually saying yes when your body is screaming no?
  2. Where in your body does the feeling of saying no come from?
  3. Do you know why you’re saying yes when you mean no?
  4. What do you believe about yourself that’s prompting you to put others’ needs ahead of your own?
  5. Where are your energy levels at the beginning, middle, and end of your day?

If any of those answers concern you, you may be ready for transformational coaching.

I coach my clients in a very unique and specific way.  You will:

  • Be loved, supported, and stretched to help you overcome the inner obstacles causing you to say yes to everyone and everything.
  • Discover how to change how you’ve always done things and why you’ve been doing them.
  • Learn how to tap into your unique intuitive wisdom to become the woman who says no without hesitation because you know what’s most important in your life.

You deserve to create the powerful life of your dreams.
