I see you

My trauma-informed coaching approach empowers you to regain control over your life for good

I’m here to provide you with a safe and nurturing space where we can explore your experiences, challenges, and aspirations.

As a woman imprinted and impacted by a traumatic, abusive childhood and suffered for years due to dysfunctional coping mechanisms, I value your safety and provide a confidential, trusting coaching experience to create space for your transformation.

Through a tailored coaching plan that respects your unique experiences and goals I help you build resilience, uncover & finally overcome obstacles that keep holding you back in life.

How does it work?

Identification of Types of Trauma

I will actively listen for signs and symptoms of acute, chronic, complex, or secondary trauma. I have experience coaching clients who have sustained intergenerational, survivor, developmental, relational, medical, and community trauma.

Education and Awareness

I provide education and how it relates to your experiences. You will learn to recognize the different states of the nervous system (ventral vagal, sympathetic, and dorsal vagal) and how they impact emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations.

Body Sensations

I will guide you to tune into your body sensations, helping you notice signs of activation or relaxation in different situations. This awareness enables you to identify triggers and patterns in how your body responds.

Regulation Techniques

I can utilize these techniques to help you shift to a more regulated state. For example, if you are hyper-aroused (sympathetic), I may teach grounding techniques like deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or guided imagery to promote peace.

Or, if you are in a hypo-aroused state (dorsal vagal), I suggest gentle movement exercises, self-soothing activities, or sensory engagement activate the ventral vagal system and increase feelings of safety.

Polyvagal theory & Somatic techniques

These techniques are rooted in understanding the body’s physiological responses to stress & trauma and can be powerful tools in helping you regulate your nervous systems and promote healing. The Polyvagal theory explains how the autonomic nervous system responds to stress and trauma. It highlights the vagus nerve’s role in regulating our physiological and emotional states. I use this theory to help you understand your body’s responses and learn to self-regulate. Through somatic techniques are body-focused exercises that help you release suppressed emotions.
